Scenographer/Creative Producer/ Artistic Manager – Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Responsible for supporting the creative vision of the company using a mix of creative skills and commercial awarness of current trends in staging, technology & performance. Adhering the creative process of the creative department from conceptualization to production of medium to large scale events (corporate launch, opening ceremonies, brand activations…).
Conceptualize event proposals:
Collaborate with the Creative Director & Creative Content Producer to translate the creative briefs to realize concepts in terms of content, staging, performances and technology experience.
Work closely with the Creative Director on the best approach for presentation of concepts proposals.
Identify and recommend the most suitable contractors, artists, technology providers etc…) and innovative techniques to bring the concept to life.
Ensure that each technical creative proposal meets expectation and goals.
Participate to Client meetings and presentation as and when requested by the senior management.
Stage & Direct Projects:
Brief and supervise artistic personnel including choreographers, performers and content suppliers (Audio, video)
Direct and supervise the staging and artistic direction of performers.
Ensure on the ground that the general creative vision of each project is followed and applied.
Work collaboratively with the creative director as well as external partners, participate in company strategy meetings, and make recommendations for changes to the creative direction to meet market changes, competitive threats or to support strategic plans.
Understand the company goals & brand; to determinate areas needed for improvements.
Make decisions on a daily basis that ensure both profitability and creative quality.
Assure that timely and informative communication takes place between the creative function and the production, project management and business development departments as well as partners, and clients.
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in scenography, theatrical studies, communications or related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum 2 years experience in outdoor live event production
Excellent working knowledge in the following areas is preferred: Adobe Photoshop, Autocad, Cinema 4D..
Innovation/creativity to generate new ideas and approaches; devising imaginative solutions to work-related problems.
Good understanding of the budget limits.
Good knowledge in the various A/V techniques (especially large video projection and new immersive technologies), staging and special effects and an extended database of suppliers.
General Marketing experience.
Able to see the “big picture”
