Gallery Director – Art Gallery
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest and experience in developing relationships with gallery artists. The director will be responsible for supporting a specific set of artists, including exhibition planning, sales, museum relations and production.
Minimum requirements for the position are a BA in Art History, five years of experience working in a commercial gallery and the ability to work in a team.
Duties will include: Client outreach and development Museum and curator relations Maintain regular communication with artists Know artist history and keep current with all artist work, projects and major writings Travel for shows, studio visits Art Fair attendance and oversee artist projects
Salary commensurate with experience.
